New Zealand casino operator SkyCity Entertainment Group has unveiled a new hotel brand as part of an ongoing $ 330 million expansion of its Adelaide Casino in South Australia.
Eos by SkyCity was introduced today as a hotel brand that would join the already existing SkyCity in Adelaide.
The new hotel at the Adelaide Casino will occupy a 12-story tower currently under development. The new Eos by SkyCity hotel will have 120 luxurious rooms that will range in size from 45 to 305 square meters of Villa Grace. All rooms face the Adelaide Oval or Torrens River.
Adelaide Casino Expands
SkyCity unveiled plans to expand Adelaide Casino several years ago, but bureaucratic hurdles delayed the start of construction. Work on the planned expansion eventually began in the summer of 2018.
The $ 330 million expansion project includes:
- reconstruction of the existing playing hall,
- adding a hotel tower,
- other new amenities.
The exterior façade of the new hotel building has been completed and the focus is now on the interior design and furnishings. The new Eos by SkyCity is slated to open its doors and welcome its first guests at the end of 2020.
As previously mentioned, Eos by SkyCity will feature up to 120 luxurious rooms and suites. Guests will be able to stay in rooms:
- Radiance River View Suites,
- Oasis Suites,
- The Grace Villa, a 305 square meter jewel in the crown of Eos, will be located at the highest point of the hotel’s new tower.
All rooms have keyless entry, digital concierge tablets and 65-inch 4K HD TVs. Guests will also be offered a variety of personalized services, including an in-room bartender.
In addition to its luxurious rooms and suites, Eos by SkyCity will have many other amenities such as:
- two signature restaurants, including a rooftop restaurant,
- spa and wellness center,
- a fitness center,
- an event center with room for up to 650 delegates.
The hotel’s new tower will be connected on the street to the neighboring casino and SkyCity entertainment complex.
Commenting on his newly unveiled hotel brand, SkyCity Entertainment Group’s general manager for hotels, Brad Burnett, said:
Eos by SkyCity will set the benchmark for how we deliver experiences and entertainment that our guests are excited about, and we hope to play a key role in bringing the best South Australian experience when travel is safe again.
Eos by SkyCity will join three other hotels from the New Zealand gambling and hospitality operator. The company’s current hotel portfolio includes properties in Oakland, Hamilton and Queenstown.
