Macau's largest casino swaps real poker for VR

Last week in Macau, the administration of the gaming operator MRE held a presentation of the newest City of Dreams hotel and entertainment complex. A huge 772-room hotel with numerous gaming halls has the highest price tag for an establishment of this class. Its cost is $ 1.1 billion.

At the presentation, MRE executives discovered an incredible fact. It turns out that the world poker provider PokerStars, which concludes agreements with many establishments in the world, is not beneficial for the casino. The real profit from their tables is minimal. According to the head of MRE Lawrence Ho, their tables "only take up space." In this regard, the new establishment will refuse to cooperate with the world poker provider. Instead, they are planning to open a virtual gambling platform here that will help visitors to touch the future of gambling today.
